The clock is ticking down to the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S22, with just a few days to go before February 9 which is rumoured to be the unpacking of the Galaxy S22, It is safe to say we expect plenty of rumours between now and then about the next major phone release from Samsung.
The Tech Titan Samsung usually debuts new tech around February/March but we were all surprised last year when the Samsung Galaxy S21 was released on January 14th. President and head of MX business Dr TM Roh at Samsung did confirm a new Galaxy S series phone will launch in February, he did however drop short of naming the highly anticipated S22.
We have seen plenty of leaks and rumours from within the Korean company over the past few months, so here are a few of our favourites so far.
- The S22 will feature the same design as their predecessor, however, they will reportedly have smaller dimensions but an improved rear camera.
- It is rumoured the S22 will sport a smaller battery of 3700mAh, down from 4,500mAh
- A 1TB version of the Galaxy S22 is only available in certain markets
- Pre-orders are expected to go live as early as the 10th of February
Last year’s unpacking event by Samsung on YouTube has already gained 34 million views and we expect more this year!
One thing we do know for sure is Samsung has started to phase out the Galaxy S21 Ultra and it is no longer officially listed on its websites in France, Germany, The UK and the US.
